On July 6, 2019, Ivan Kupala Day was celebrated on the shores of Lake Victoria

On July 6, 2019, Ivan Kupala Day was celebrated at Nyange Resort & Marina on the shores of Lake Victoria.

The event was organized by the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Uganda. Traditional Russian rites, including dances around the fire, weaving wreaths and fortune telling, were held during the celebration.

The members of the children's dance group “Tip-Top” also performed Russian folk dances in national costumes.
